Alternatively, give In The Zone recoil reduction on guns, so shots can be lined up and fired quicker.

Yea, that'd work too. I'm kind of against a flat damage increase due to the severely stupid shit that damage boosts can cause. With melee, I'd rather see attacks come faster or something else along those lines.

Hogwash. Against a random opponent you don't know how much health armor ammo magic stamina or mojo he has. Meter's no different.

What about In The Zone for guns decreases accuracy decay, and for melee increases damage? The point here is to make In The Zone and Second Wind naturally "against" each other. Second Wind gives you the health boost and cancels out any damage you take from In The Zone (melee or not) and vice versa, but its good against speed and slowmo because its powerup isn't dependent on controlling time or velocity.

EDIT: just noticed TOG said this. sorry TOG plz don't hate me :(

Improved accuracy and less recoil for in the zone firearms? Not a bad idea.

I noticed that Adrenaline Rush has superjump. How will that function? While your meter is depleting, all your normal jumps are superjumps?

Don't know. We'll figure it out in playtesting.

Hold the space bar to charge up for half a second and do a super jump? It works pretty well in Crysis 2.

So, is there any room for some double fire rate action?

It kinda looks like that's being folded into the speed power up.

One of the things that would be interesting but hasn't been fully explored in discussion is the idea of 4 bars giving you some sort of super powerup. Anyone have any ideas for what would be a good 4 bar powerup for the current listings of powerups?

One way to do it is spending 4 bars gives you a really long period of your powerup (say 10 sec) but it can't be stopped (so you would have to use it in the most dire of sequences, say like the entire pub is ganging up on you). Another way to do it is have each different powerup give you a really awesome version of a powerup, but only lasts half as long as it would if you held down your powerup key for the full duration of 4 bars emptying out.

and w/r/t double fire rate, as TOG said Adrenaline Rush seems like it'll take control of that. But in that case, should the other powerups get some nifty sort of passive bonuses? Its already been established that guns getting a recoil/accuracy bonus during In The Zone is not a bad idea. Whatabout Second Wind or In The Zone?

Second Wind is pretty good already and benefits all playstyles, I don't really see any need to make it anything other than a health booster.

I'm assuming Time Control is Slow Pause?

Perhaps it scales from slow-motion to slow-pause depending on how much meter you have/cash in. You can tap it on for some standard bullet time that gradually drains your meter (and can be stopped), or hold it and cash it all in for a few seconds of slow pause.
