Why so low res? Looks like a 256 map or something.

Hello,
If you need some texture or models, feel free to use my stuff from RedEclipse, everything I do is C0 (other stuff from RE are usually CC-BY-SA, don't know if it suit)
Here are the repo
Textures:
https://github.com/red-eclipse/data/tre ... uckystrike

Models :

I'll keep watching the forum to see if there's anything I can do to help. (not used to source engine though)

Hey LuckyStrike, thanks for the resources. Maybe some of the mappers will be able to use that stuff.

If anyone wants to make some stuff and doesn't know what to make, I need assorted brewing (and drug cooking) equipment for various nefarious uses. Stuff like this:

and this:

maybe one of these:

and throw in something like this for good measure:

They're going in an environment inspired by this:

with a hint of this:

Image

all food for thought. Here's the specs:

Textures: No texture over 1024x1024. Ideally keep it to 512s, but you can use 1024s if you are sharing texture space across meshes. Feel free to use normal maps and specular maps. Since these are metallic and shiny, envmap will probably look better than phong, but you can use both if you really need to.

Meshes: Maximum 5000 tri count for any one model, ideally around the 1000 - 3000 mark, looking for good silhouette quality but less polies is always better. Roughly circular meshes should use 8 vert circles, not 6, and for something that must be circular (viewed face on) you can use anywhere from 12 to 24 vert circles.

If you want to learn how to model this stuff I'll teach! Add me on steam ;)
