Playtesting Schedule

if there's one thing that we can do right now while waiting for coders to code and artists to art that is absolutely essential to the game, its constant play testing. If we really wanted to be good about it, we'd play test every day, but no one's schedule can fit that.

i'm going to take the initiative in organizing these interim play tests. When do you guys feel you can best set aside 1 hour a week to do play testing? How often can you (realistically) play? Do you mind being buggered about play testing?

In this thread, please answer these questions along with the easiest way to contact you. I have 0 access to Steam right now so the best way for me to keep in contact with all y'all is through gmail. If you're easier to contact through private means (private email, phone, fb), feel free to PM me wit this info.

Ideally, what I would like to see is people show up for play tests twice a week, and even impromptu play tests where if someone really wants to play, I can contact everyone to see who's available. Realistically, I foresee play tests happening every 2 weeks but in longer sprints (kinda what happens now), but more structured in its scheduling.

Usually we end up doing playtests on Saturday and Sunday. That might be a good time to start us off.

Weekends are best. Fri, Sat, Sun @ 8PM EST has been working out so far.

Usually on here is best, this thread can be the place to check as well, have it updated a week in advance. But to immediately contact me is on Steam, unless I'm out.

Alright, I've got the STEAM app for my phone so I can be in touch with you guys.

As for the next play test, does Sunday, January 6th at 8 PM EST work for everyone?

It seems that this weekend is probably not the best. Not to mention that a new release is going to come up soon, so a playtest for next weekend is probably best.

dementei suggested a two day playtest, if this is okay with everyone, a 3pm est and 8pm est playtest session on saturday and sunday respectively would work for people? These times aren't solid, by the way.

Ya, expect some testing this weekend either way. And also try to be there since it will probably be the first testing for the Rooftops map, but that will come with the new release whenever that is.
