I could be wrong, but is the first person mossberg still that cs:s compile I had found when I was digging up placeholders? its the right shotgun model and skin, but the arms and animations were placeholders.
I think he means physics based, velocity turned into physics, which in turn is a lot more code but would ultimately change the way the game is played and how maps work. for example, you could slide all the down a hill as long as you are going a certain speed.
It doesn't even have to be that complicated. Just take two downward traces, subtract the hitposes, convert the resulting vector into an angle, rotate it by the player angle, then add the pitch to the slide velocity (with some tweaks). Hell, it doesn't even have to stop you if you slide uphill.
Not sure if i can still post but i thought this was quite relevant!
Nomination: Enable toggling between death-photo and death-cam in the options menu.
The pictures are fun, but character positions look a bit off since they're mostly caught in weird positions. I imagine it would be a lot more fun (and humiliating) to see yourself stomp your head into some furniture after you were shot down in yout mid-air stunt.
You mean an option to change from a still frame of your death to a video of the few seconds before and after you die?
Vino, this sounds a bit like the "Let's see that again!" we were talking about in the last playtest in which I was present. I think we were saying it would need to use the source engine recorddemo code, but my game crashes every time I try to load a demo I have recorded.
