I wrote this article once.
I don't think it's really finished but I drop it anyway cause it might help people.
(maybe I dropped the link before, I can't remember, I do know I showed vino).

Anyway, it's for mappers, what depth different height can add to a map. ... HyvNi6Lcp0

oyea i remember seeing this, definitely necessary in every map for dab.

It's a good little read. You should add some DAB specific stuff in there. For instance a slope now also affects players sliding, so there is another tactical aspect to a simple slope. Also diving from higher gives you a better vantage and so on.
