Has anyone else been seeing the servers keep crashing?

Postby Penguininnabox » Wed Sep 17, 2014 4:46 pm

Ever since the 1.0 update, pretty often (about every other game), I lose connection to the server and get dropped. Normally I would blame it on my shitty net, but after all of these DC's, the server I was in is either not there, or dead empty, even if there were like 8 people in there before. I've been screenshotting it every time it happens, and I even caught one while I was test recording. One major constant among all of these was that either I had activated super-slomo, or I felt someone else activate super-slomo. This has really been shifting me away from DAB recently, and I just wanted to know if anyone else was seeing this at all and could comment on it.

P.S. Ever since i stopped using reflexes, I've been seeing less crashes, so pretty sure its with the super-slomo

Interesting, I've only even experienced the server crash one time which I'm pretty sure was from the super slow. The only way to figure it out would be to look at server dump files if they exist.

That's not good. Were they particularly full servers? Did it crash on map change? Was teamplay enabled?

Just got one right now, so im gonna detail it as much as i can.

Server: One of Rai's NA/Chicago ones, gotta have dat 10 ping :3
Points: 4727
Players: about 8-10
Weapon in use: I was using a sentinel, most of the sever had undertaker or persuader
Skills in use: I had reflexes, most of server seemed to have marksman or brawler
Other notes: super slomo was activated literally 2 seconds before it crashed, I was colliding with a player when it happened(first time that happened, gonna keep an eye on this), was in the middle of a pretty active firefight: about 5 players in the elevator room of rooftops.

Hope that helps pin this down, Im gonna try to write up one of these for each crash and see what is constant.

Thanks, penguin. To clarify - this was a server-wide crash, not just you, right?

Actually Penguin, that may help to isolate factors. Hopefully you're not chasing one of the crashes I've already fixed for the Steam release.

I see server crashes about once a day on the non-Steam version. It's always while in slow-mo from what I can remember.
